PLASTIC PRESCRIPTIONS was formed by John A. Hertel in 1968. The name, PLASTIC PRESCRIPTIONS, is derived from the company's aim which is to cure its customers' plastic headaches. Having outgrown its original location in Waterloo, the plant is now in Cambridge. Increased capacity enables higher production of quality injection molded components for the furniture, appliance, automotive and design fields. We are geared to cure our customers' problems in the plastic field. Our customer base covers all of North America. We specialize in working with our clients to provide custom work. One example of our product line is the composite chair base using our patented DUAL TAPER LOCK configuration which prevents cylinder "creep". We offer an innovative approach to all aspects of the plastic field where any injection molded part may be required.
